I drew this with markers and paint markers on a sheet of plastic. There are lots of areas that look like a paintbrush, those were all done by smudging fresh marker lines with my finger tip. The plastic sheet had a little bit of tooth to it, but it was mostly smooth. It was not so smooth that it was shiny, nor was it rough- it was weird. The marker took longer to dry because of the plastic, is basically the point. The theme of the piece is pretty straight foreward. I drew it during college. I don't think it was inspired by a specific war, but war in general.
